Backstory
Single child of an eloquent preacher, continued her father's work. Her mother was a famed flamengo dancer and duelist, skills she shared with her daughter.
Studied anthropology, political sciences, Ancient Numan and Ancient Crescent History. Dabbled in alchemy even if she has no "official" academic position related to such studies.
Spent her days doing social work in Castille and the Midnight Islands, cataloguing new discoveries and patents, serving as an editor for scientific studies.
Was tortured by the Inquisition after smuggling some extraordinary scientific discovery out of Castille
Lost her memory until she was found again in Montaigne-occupied Castille, reappearing as "La Moruna".
What makes your character a hero?
La Moruna believes that Love is a gift from Theus that must be shared, and works hard to share the love with everyone in Théah, tirelessly trying to make everyone's lives less miserable and bring them hope.
The only gift as important as Love is Reason. La Moruna will do anything to protect scientists, scientific knowledge, discoveries and keep them from being misjudged. As a former patent registration clerk and scientific curator, she is a strong advocate for ethical, peer-reviewed science that is performed by the scientific method created by the Vaticine Church - something that puts her at odds with some more radical members of the Invisible College.
Leonor believes that the Inquisitor is becoming too influent within the Church and twisting and corruption its mission of Love and Reason. She will brave the abyss if that means protecting the true lawful figures of authority of the Church, and would sacrifice anything to see a new Hierophant rise to power.
Who or what will oppose your character?
Her cousin Francesca Andrade del Campo Verde is a firebrand doom-preacher Knight Inquisitor obsessed with the Fourth Prophet and climbing within the Inquisition. She will not stop until she has recovered all the scientific research and breakthroughs that Leonor has smuggled out of Castille and thus, "redeem the Andrade name."
She is hardly the last one standing on her way; many will seek to destroy scientific advancement, profit from the ignorance and goodwill of others, and a clever few will abuse discoveries for their own selfish gains.
And there are those that would profit from having a disorganized Church.
How will your character die?
A Hierophant will be finally elected. And she will die at the tip of a poisoned blade meant for the representative of Theus in Théah.
Some mad genius will go too far and only she can stop him and save the good name of the scientific method.
She will try to Love the unLovable.
