Season Story Hooks

Aside from the extravagant court held by l'empereur, there is a national assembly going on in its shade, dealing with some boring topics along the line of tax-reforms. Most nobles did not deign to grace it with their presence, but of the few that did there are those that wish for it to go nowhere, and the most powerful of them is threatening to have L'Empereur simply close the proceedings. Thing is, these tax-reforms are direly nessessary for the common people, who bore the brunt of the war effort, yet have no spoils to speak of.
