Well, OBVIOUSLY my reason for traveling this way is that Im currently transporting an artifact of incredible little value thats too heavy to carry on my own!
Something alike to twenty 50 pound stone plates covered in several ancient runes that can be turned and reorganized to read a different story or message depending on how you organize them! Most of the stories are either ancient fairy tales or prehistoric short stories without any real value whatsoever.
BUT CLEARLY THESE DIRTY THIEVES ARE AFTER MY INCREDIBLE "INFINITE TALES"! Which actually only provides about 2*10^18 stories that all sound odly familiar given that the same symbols with different pronounciations are used to remake the stories. BUT THAT DOESNT LESSEN THEIR VALUE for a museum, as noone else in their right mind would want to reorganize 2000 pounds of stone for the equivalent of two to three pages of unoriginal short stories in a language that is so dead that even the ones coming after it turned to dust by now. Did I mention that a lot of the runes are damaged from old age and unreadable? CLEARLY UNFANTHOMABLE VALUABLE.
For science!
Now, what I do? I cannot allow them to steal the wagon(s) transporting this historical treasure of rough stone plates that I carefully wrapped in wool and wax paper! Climbing on a wagon, branding my weapon, ready to defend it and the people driving from any would-be wagon snatchers. These 2000 pounds of rocks belong in a museum!

Unfortunately, I may be slightly obvious. The carriage and 3 Wealth of luggage will tend to stand out. But how else is a noble going to join L'Empereur's court to travel? Although, are any of our more violent types likely to be in the business of bodyguarding? I'm willing to be an employer. Since I'm also looking for money, I might as well get employed by you! So then I'd be there because I'm bodyguarding a noble Consider yourself employed

May I suggest that this thread be moved conveniently closer to the story thread?
Also, I am assuming that we are going to be setting our Approaches now for a Scene?

Yes, I was actually hoping for more telling approaches, but I can make do with what you wrote so far if you wish!

I will later add a more explicit one.

Please do, as for the others, please state here if I should work with what I have, or provide a more explicit approach!
Needless to say, things are shaping up risky!

Well Francois only gets 1 raise on his roll.
Pretty sure I'm not going first...

Sooo... I'm unsure if I got everything right so I would like to "roll openly" with you guys for this first time! Please teach me, senpais! My risk is brawn(4)/warfare(2) => 6d10 Academy Advantage adds +1 to every die Can I use Large Advantage here to get another die? I am large, so people notice me easier? That would give one bonus die. => 7d10 So I would roll 7 d10 add +1 to each roll and then check how many 10's I can make for raises right? I'll just do that now and if the dm says large doesn't apply here I will throw out the last die. 7d10+7: 41 [7d10=6, 2, 4, 2, 7, 3, 10] or rather 7, 3, 5, 3, 8, 4, 11 => 7+3, 8+3, 11, 9 This makes 3 raises right? Edit: Haha I'm so unlucky...If i can't use large I lose a raise

you forgot that you get an extra die for first time using the skill in this scene anyways, so in the worst case scenario you get an additional die

Oooh thats the flair thing right? Okay so i can use the roll up there and at the dms discretion would roll another die for four raises eh?

So, my roll is about weaponry (3), resolve(4), that makes 7d10. Plus an extra d10 for first use iirc. Because of my Legendary Trait (Resolve), I treat one die as a 10, and when one other 10 explodes, this one will explode as well. So I roll 7d10s (I'm a little afraid to mess up the syntax here, so I just roll simple d10s) [7d10=9, 3, 4, 7, 8, 6, 1] + 10 from Legendary Trait That gives me: 1+9, 7+3, 6+4, 10 = 4 raises!
edit: 1 die left unused!
