If our ST doesn't object, I'm going to roll Resolve (the traditional Sorcery trait) and Aim (Because there's a gun involved). With an extra die for unique skill, that's 4 dice. orokos.com/roll/4533012 raises (no dice left over).

Please also note down how many dice you have for "sale" in the end (unused dice). I might get danger points for those, and you get a hero point in return! It's win/win!

So, my roll is about weaponry (3), resolve(4), that makes 7d10. Plus an extra d10 for first use iirc. Because of my Legendary Trait (Resolve), I treat one die as a 10, and when one other 10 explodes, this one will explode as well. So I roll 7d10s (I'm a little afraid to mess up the syntax here, so I just roll simple d10s) [7d10=9, 3, 4, 7, 8, 6, 1] + 10 from Legendary Trait That gives me: 1+9, 7+3, 6+4, 10 = 4 raises! edit: 1 die left unused! Just to clarify, your 10s don't explode. The legendary trait sets one die to a 10, and *in case* your 10s explode, it explodes as well (so when you roll it for a skill you have at 5, for instance). So if your default 10s do not explode, neither does the die that gets set to 10 by legendary trait.

I got 37 [7d10=2, 1, 7, 9, 8, 4, 6]. 4+6, 9+1, and 8+2, having 7 left over. Makes 3 raises, sorry for being so late to roll, had a lot of work yesterday and today and just came home, sorry again

Since the GM left me stuck with the hammer skill that is Weaponry, I will hammer those nails all-out.
This should let the rest of you be more creative!

Due to it being just brute squads, you people can go ahead and just post your actions. Brute squads only act at the end of an action sequence!

hm, I think it being brute squads means that Im not actually able to provide great amounts of opportunities, oh well, IMPROVISING will save the day or something!

Your raises can be used in any way you can imagine to change the scene. Knocking out goons is just one change to what is going on.
My advice would be to read carefully. There's also an example action sequence in the book.

First raise, plus a dramatic wound, to use Porte to pull my pistol from the luggage. The pistol is now defined as one of the two Minor marks. Second raise, scare a brute off!

Whoops sorry for answering so late I'm just a stepin for the original player for the weekend so I didn't spend all raises at once. Friederike was first in line with 4, so now she's at 2 raises.

Sooo reading the example I, I can choose to spend any number of raises right? So I can keep one for later? I also would like to ask if my actions would count as "taking command during a moment of violense"? Which would gain me a hero point.

Just going to point out for everyones favourite noble, that dramatic wounds last for the entire season. Just to make sure you're not walking into a knife in more ways than one here!
On a similarly serious matter:
Friederike, are you sure you want to do that?

On a similarly serious matter: Friederike, are you sure you want to do that? Well, that's how these things go. This was an establishing shot for the character, and I think it was important to establish the Porté sorcery, since it's one of the more unusual parts of the setting. (One of the people whose games I play in regularly likes to use the 'tv series' style for running things, and I've kind of got in the habit of doing that as a player.) Also, I don't plan to get into any more fights

That is fine, I just considered the possebility you didn't know and felt it fair to point out just in case!
Also, they say no plan survives the first enemy contact, but you are making this too easy!
